Summary

VRDays Europe will be hosting its first virtual festival in November, bringing industry professionals and XR fans together across three days. For those that are interested in the many talks taking place, organisers have announced the first lineup of speakers set to contribute to this digital event.
Just as in previous years VRDays Europe is attracting some of the most well-known advocates of VR and AR technology. Stars of the show will include Alvin Wang Graylin, China President at HTC who is also Vice-Chair of the Virtual Reality Venture Capital Alliance; Director of XR Research at Unity, Timoni West and Jeremy Bailenson, professor of communication at Stanford University.
Also on the currently confirmed list of speakers are:
  • Dave Haynes – HTC Vive
  • Kim-Leigh Pontin – Sky VR Studios
  • Marco DeMiroz – The Venture Reality Fund
  • Myriam Achard – PHI
  • Petri Rajahalme – Nordic XR Startups
  • Anne-Lise Miller – DVgroup
All the speakers will be part of VRDays Europe’s Vision & Impact Hybrid Conference which takes place on 4th November. It’s a hybrid because 200 people will be allowed to view the conference in-person at the Kromhouthal in Amsterdam. For everyone else, the event will be live-streamed.
There are going to be all sorts of live-streamed sessions taking place for this year’s VRDays Europe, covering topics such as enterprise; XR gaming, healthcare; historical heritage, emerging technologies like 5G and AI; storytelling, training and much more.
In addition to the live-streams there will also be virtual worlds to explore. VRDays Europe has teamed up with Laval Virtual for a virtual exhibition and trade show whilst the Church of VR will be on hand to showcase the latest immersive projects in VR.
VRDays Europe runs from 4th – 6th November 2020 with a range of tickets available depending on what you want to see. For further updates keep reading VRFocus.
