Summary

Apple will refresh its iPad Pro lineup with new models in "a matter of days," new report says.
According to Bloomberg's Mark Gurman, Apple is soon announcing a new 11-inch and 12.9-inch iPad Pro.
These new iPads will be the first to come with Apple's new M2 chip, which offers a speed boost while drawing less energy. Apple uses the same chip in its new MacBooks, so it should provide plenty of power for even the most demanding users.

Aside from the chip, the new iPads Pro won't be a huge change from last year's models, Gurman claims, and this includes the flat-edge design Apple introduced in 2018.
Other rumored changes for the new iPads Pro include MagSafe charging and reverse wireless charging. One thing that probably isn't happening, however, is a switch to mini-LED display on the 11-inch model; it appears that this feature will remain exclusive to the 12.9-inch iPad Pro.

Apple is unlikely to host an event for the launch; instead, the company will probably just announce the new devices through its website.
Finally, iPad users will finally get iPadOS 16 later in October. The new version of iPadOS has been delayed compared to iOS 16, which launched a few weeks ago, probably because Apple needed more time to iron out the issues with its Stage Manager feature.
