Summary

PlayStation’s lineup of PS VR2 games continues to grow.
PlayStation held a brief 20-minute State of Play today, announcing a small handful of games coming to PlayStation 5 consoles. We also received a bit of news regarding the PlayStation VR2.

Star Wars: Tales from the Galaxy’s Edge – Enhanced Edition

During the virtual event it was announced that Star Wars: Tales from the Galaxy’s Edge – Enhanced Edition will be heading to the PlayStation VR2. Whereas the original game launched in two parts, Enhance Edition will feature the “complete experience.” The game will feature improved visuals that take advantage of the “many of the enhancements the hardware has to offer.”
Star Wars: Tales from the Galaxy’s Edge was originally released on the Meta Quest back in 2020. The game offers a wide variety of content to explore with the option to purchase new storylines for an additional fee. The Enhanced Edition will feature headset-based controller tracking, eye tracking, and 3D audio support as well as headset and controller-based haptics.

Demeo

The company also revealed that the popular VR dungeon-crawler Demeo will be heading to its next console VR headset. Originally released on Quest and PC VR headsets back in 2021, the multiplayer experience has you teaming up with other players to navigate virtual labyrinths filled with all manner of horrific beasts.
The Dungeons & Dragons-inspired gameplay blends well with the card-based mechanics, resulting in a tactical fantasy experience unlike anything available on headsets at the moment. Developer Resolution Games is always adding new content to enjoy, from additional characters to new campaigns. It’ll be exciting to see how the game continues to grow on PS VR2.
Last month PlayStation confirmed that the PlayStation VR2 will be available in early 2023. There’s still no word on an official price, though we do know that the headset will feature 20 games at launch.
In addition to Star Wars: Tales from the Galaxy’s Edge and Demeo, Pavlov VR, Horizon Call of the Mountain, and the upcoming VR release of Among Us will also be available on PS VR2.
