PlayStation Plus isn't the same value that Xbox Game Pass is just yet, but it's been getting much better as of late thanks to its new multi-tier system. Subscribe to the Essential level, and you'll get access to online play (one of the main draws of PS Plus in the first place) as well as three free games every month to download and play at your leisure. The Extra tier will get you all the stuff from the Essential tier, plus the ability to use the PlayStation Game Catalog, which is a Game-Pass-esque library of titles that you can play whenever you want. Finally, the Premium level gets you all the benefits of the other two tiers, and adds in the PS Classics Catalog, cloud streaming support, and select trials for new releases. Why we like it

With the smaller, more focused Assassin's Creed Mirage just recently being released, some AC fans may still be clamoring for the open-world style that has now become the franchise's bread and butter. Assassin's Creed Valhalla will certainly scratch that itch — it's massive, and it's a direct predecessor to Mirage, so you'll probably want to play it anyway.
