The Meta Quest 2 is unique because it doesn't require a PC or smartphone. This VR headset is an all-in-one device with an extensive library of games and apps accessed directly from the headset. In addition to its convenience, the Meta Quest 2 offers a high-quality experience with 20 pixels per degree visuals and advanced tracking capabilities. Compared to other VR headsets, such as the HTC Vive Pro 2 and the Valve Index, the Meta Quest 2 is a steal.
This price drop isn't the only news Meta has made lately. In addition to the lower price point, Meta announced that the Quest 2 and Quest Pro GPU and CPU components are receiving an upgrade, giving users a more immersive experience than ever before.
According to a press release, the Quest 2 and Pro users can expect a 26% CPU performance increase with a 19% GPU speed increase for Quest 2 and 11% for Quest Pro. With the Meta Quest 2's already-impressive features and now even better performance, there's never been a better time to invest in a VR headset.
