Summary

The annual Black Friday sales event is due to take place on 29th November 2019, and hopefully, there will be plenty of virtual reality (VR) discounts like last year. Viveport is getting in early with an offer for its unlimited subscription service Viveport Infinity, discounting one year’s membership.
Starting today and running through until 1st December, Viveport Infinity is offering a 45 percent saving, dropping the annual cost down to £59.88 GBP ($60 USD). The platform is hardware agnostic so the subscription service supports HTC Vive, Oculus Rift, Valve Index and Windows Mixed Reality headsets.
For those that haven’t tried Viveport Infinity yet, there’s still the 14-day free trial giving you unrestricted access to all the videogames in its library. New titles are added every month so you can stay up to date with the latest VR experiences. Recently SUPERHOT, Eleven Eleven, Groundhog Day: Like Father Like Son, Five Nights at Freddy’s VR: Help Wanted, Arizona Sunshine, Gloomy Eyes – Vol. 1 & 2 and Sairento VR have all been added.
Viveport Infinity arrived earlier this year superseding the previous subscription models which offered a more restricted service. Windows Mixed Reality support arrived in May followed by Valve Index in August. Both times owners were offered limited-time deals to access the service but this Black Friday offer seems to be the best yet.
HTC Vive has been through a process of heavy promotion these last couple of months. This was mainly due to the launch of Vive Cosmos in October which has had its fair share of problems. Last week then saw the rollout of the ‘Vive Certified Pre-Owned VR Systems’ for North American consumers. This deal nets you an original HTC Vive system that was previously owned and has been fully inspected by the company for $399.
Whilst the Viveport Infinity deal is certainly early it won’t be the last. The likelihood of Vive Cosmos or Oculus Quest getting discounts are slim, but PlayStation VR usually has some tasty pickings. As more Black Friday discounts are revealed and made available, VRFocus will keep you updated.
