Gym Masters is an upcoming story-driven fitness title that is currently in the process of raising money over on Kickstarter in the hopes of releasing later this year. While the Kickstarter campaign itself is poised to end tomorrow, developer ViFit has now given those interested in the game a little taste of what’s to come.

As of today, ViFit has released a new demo for Gym Masters allowing fans to better get an idea of how the game will work. This second iteration of the demo most notably adds a second minigame for players to try out ahead of time. Gym Masters as a whole is a game that will feature a number of these minigames to play, each of which will help keep you physically active.

At this point in time, the Gym Master demo now contains two minigames in total to try out. One of these is known as “Rock Fighter” and has you punching soda and dodging pizzas that are coming directly at you. It’s a game that gets you up and moving while also discouraging unhealthy eating. The second game is known as “Condorbot Attack” and has you destroying hordes of robots. To do this, you’ll shoot Dragon Ball Z-style energy balls at them that are powered up by your own ability to do jumping jacks. It sounds a bit bizarre, but it’s also a lot of fun.

Lastly, this demo also gives you a look at the gums of two of the different masters in the game. The first belongs to Rock Johnson and is meant to boast an aesthetic that is reminiscent of the 80s. The latter gym then belongs to Yotoi Burraito and is akin to a japanese karate dojo. The full game is planned to have more locales just like these two.

If you’re looking to play this demo for yourself, you can do so by heading over to ViFit’s website and hitting the download button. Since the game isn’t available on major platforms just yet, however, the only way in which you’ll be able to make it playable is via sideloading for an Oculus device. If you need more information about sideloading, you can read up on it here.

All in all, to see ViFit continue to update this demo for Gym Masters is a great thing. Perhaps more than many other video games, it’s hard to know exactly how a VR title will turn out until you’re able to play it for yourself. As such, to be able to test Gym Masters out in advance to know whether or not this is a game you’d like to support monetarily is a great idea. Hopefully, the move is one that can lead to ViFit generating more interest in the project in the long haul.

As of this writing, Gym Masters has currently raised close to $8,000 on Kickstarter. The campaign wraps up on April 29 and developer ViFit is looking to obtain $12,000 in total. This is also an all-or-nothing campaign meaning that if the project doesn’t hit this goal, ViFit won’t take the money that has already been put down by fans. If you’d like to help the game make this final push to its goal, you can find the Kickstarter page right here.

If all goes according to plan, Gym Masters has a prospective release window of July 2021 and will be coming to PC and Oculus VR headsets. A PlayStation VR version was also potentially going to happen as well, but the project needed to raise a certain amount of money to greenlight this iteration. We’ll keep you posted about the launch plans for Gym Masters in the future following the end of its Kickstarter phase.
