Following its full 1.0 release at the end of 2019, the Hole in the Wall-inspired workout game OhShape has now received a rather extensive new update that has brought about a variety of new features.

Disclosed in a recent press release, OhShape has most notably added two new game modes for players to try out. The first of which, Party Mode, enables you to play with friends and family more easily than ever. When utilizing this new mode, you’ll be able to create your own leaderboards that those in proximity to you can then try to set their own high scores upon.

The second of these two new modes, Practice Mode, is somewhat self-explanatory. In this new portion of OhShape, you’ll be able to repeat and loop certain sections of all maps in the game and also try out different settings. If you’re trying to improve your score on certain levels but are having a rough time at specific sections, this will allow you to better yourself before your next official run.

Alongside these two new modes, Odders Lab has also added a number of smaller new tweaks to OhShape, too. Some of these take the form of overhauls to the UI along with some new visual FXs. And likely most notable to many, the game has also now received 4 new songs of different styles. Each of these new tracks should provide an added challenge to players of all skill levels.

Additionally, OhShape also recently received a new update just last month which encourages users to stay home and work out. The aptly titled #StayHome update encourages users of OhShape to get their workouts in through the game while most of the world tries to stay self-quarantined to slow the spread of COVID-19.

If you complete this 15-minute workout for the first time in OhShape, Odders Lab will then donate $1 to UNICEF to help combat the coronavirus pandemic. It’s a nice showing from the studio behind the game and if you own OhShape and haven’t already tried out this challenge for yourself, you should give it a shot sometime soon. Not only will you get in a nice workout, but you’ll be by proxy donating to a good cause.

OhShape is available now on Steam and the Oculus Store for $19.99 and is compatible with HTC Vive, Oculus Rift, Oculus Quest, and Windows Mixed Reality devices. For a more opinionated take on the game, be sure to check out our review of OhShape right here.
