Shiny Pokemon GO Sinnoh and Valentine's: Chansey, Riolu, Happiny, Hippopotas!

Today we're taking a peek at the latest event that'll come to Pokemon GO in the very near future – the Sinnoh Region event, and Valentine's Day! This event takes place at around the same time every year, bringing with it heart-shaped Pokemon or otherwise pink and red Pokemon aplenty. In this case, it means a Shadow Raikou, Team Rocket, and two new Shiny Pokemon!

The Shiny Pokemon that'll appear during the Sinnoh Region event will be Shiny Riolu and Shiny Hippopotas! During the Valentine's Day event, we'll see both Shiny Happiny and Shiny Chansey! For the first set, we're looking at one set of dates – then those Shiny two will remain in the game, but not nearly so common as during this launch window. Then the second event begins with the second set of Shiny Pokemon.

The Sinnoh event will take place Friday, February 7, 2020, at 8:00 a.m. to Monday, February 10, 2020, at 10:00 p.m. local time. That means that no matter what time zone you happen to be in, you'll get an 8AM start time. So set your alarms!

During the Sinnoh Event, we'll see more than just the Shiny Riolu and Shiny Hippopotas! We'll also see a whole bunch of odd 7 km Eggs! This timeframe includes the (temporary) launch of egg-hatched Budew, Combee, Bronzor, Gible, Riolu, Hippopotas, and Mantyke!

The Pokemon GO Valentine's Day celebration takes place from Friday, February 14, 2020, at 8:00 a.m. to Monday, February 17, 2020 at 10:00 p.m. local time. During that time, as Niantic suggested this week, "pink Pokémon will be appearing more often in the wild, in raids, in Eggs, and as Field Research encounters."

During the Valentine's Day celebration, Audino, the Hearing Pokémon, and Alomomola, the Caring Pokémon will be released for the first time – but they'll not be nearly so common as the egg-hatched Sinnoh Pokemon listed above.

The Valentine's Day celebration will include the two remaining Shiny Pokemon listed above – Shiny Happiny and Shiny Chansey. Eggs will be the place where you find the Shiny Happiny, and Shiny Chansey will appear in the wild – can't wait!
