UPDATE: Nov. 23, 2022, 10:25 a.m. EST This list has been updated to reflect pricing and availability as of Nov. 23.

  • BEST PLAYSTATION DEAL: The Last of Us Part I is a full, ground-up remake of the critically acclaimed game of the same name, and the best way to experience the game for newcomers — $49.99 $69.99 (save $20)

  • BEST XBOX DEAL: Elden Ring is considered by many to be 2022's game of the year from Dark Souls developer FromSoftware — $49.94 $59.99 (save $10.05)

  • BEST NINTENDO DEAL: Splatoon 3 is the latest entry in the zany multiplayer franchise, and has garnered highly positive reviews since its release — $52.80 $59.99 (save $7.19)

  • BEST PC DEAL: The Samsung Odyssey G5 is a fantastic place to start for those who want to try a curved monitor — $299.99 $379.99 (save $80)

Black Friday is always good for gaming deals, and this year is already shaping up to be par for the course. (And perhaps even better if we see a lot of restocks on the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X?)

But even if you end up unable to score a next-gen console this time around due to bots and supply chain scaries, there are still plenty of gaming deals to be excited about.

Expect to see a lot of sales on individual games, console bundles (there were a bunch of great Nintendo Switch deals in 2021), and accessories for both consoles and PC. As for those next-gen consoles, we'll keep eye out and make sure you have the most updated information on restocks. Best Buy and Amazon have been especially reliable in the restock department recently, so we expect to see an announcement from them at some point. If you're looking to snag a new Switch OLED model during your shopping spree, you may have a bit more luck: GameStop in particular has had the handheld console available pretty regularly.

Check out our favorite Black Friday gaming deals below.

Please note: All newly added deals have been marked with a . Anything with a strikeout was either sold out or no longer available at the sale price as of this writing, but check back often — we're updating this page constantly.

Why we like it

The Last of Us Part I didn't necessarily need to happen, but we're happy it did. The original game is a critically acclaimed masterpiece — and is still arguably in great shape for how long ago it was released — but who are we to say "no" to a ground-up remake of one of the all-time greats, specifically for the PlayStation 5? If you haven't already played The Last of Us, this is unquestionably the best way to experience it for the first time.

If you've ever enjoyed a FromSoftware game (Dark Souls, Bloodborne, Sekiro), Elden Ring is probably going to be your favorite one. Explore The Lands Between as your created character (called a "Tarnished"), discovering hidden areas, battling dangerous creatures, and working towards the ultimate goal of repairing the shattered Elden Ring and becoming the new Elden Lord. It's a grand adventure, and one you shouldn't miss out on in 2022.

Fans of multiplayer and party games should have Splatoon 3 in their library. This four-on-four unconventional shooter pits two teams against each other (the Inklings and Octolings) and tasks them with covering the map in as much paint as possible before the timer runs out. In the end, whichever team has painted the most turf will emerge victorious.

Curved gaming monitors may not seem like game-changers right away, but they certainly can be. Samsung's curved 100R panel attempts to replicate the curvature of the human eye to cut down on strain and increase immersion, which just makes playing feel better. The monitor also features a 144Hz refresh rate, 1ms response times, AMD FreeSync Premium support, WQHD resolution, and HDR10 compatibility.

Frequently Asked Questions

The best shopping tip we can give you for Black Friday 2022 is to follow our in-depth coverage of the whole event (wink wink), but besides that, there are a few things you can add to your repertoire to ensure you're getting those amazing deals.

First, you should make a wish list of what you hope to find on sale during Black Friday. When it comes to the gaming category, the options can get a little overwhelming, and it'll be easy to either a) spend more than you were hoping to spend, or b) not spend any money at all due to a case of intense online shopping paralysis. This is especially important when you're shopping for individual games, so make sure you get your top 10 in order (maybe a few extra) and keep an eye out for those specific titles.

Another tip for PC gamers — if you're planning on upgrading your rig with a new graphics card, processor, or some other component, pick them out ahead of time. Things like GPUs and CPUs tend to go out of stock very quickly, so wasting precious time deciding what you want after the sales already start is ill-advised. Unsure of what your PC setup could use an upgrade for? Spend some time at PCPartPicker to get a better idea of what you'll want to be looking out for.

The rest can be said for shopping in any category on Black Friday: Stay vigilant, remain calm, and try to enjoy the process. Download the Honey and RetailMeNot DealFinder extensions, sign up for newsletters from big retailers like Walmart and Best Buy (and our newsletter, while you're at it), and relish in your Black Friday wins.
