SuperWorld is building a better world through AR

Over 4th of July weekend, SuperWorld partnered with the Flint Water Festival to present the first ever social impact art exhibit of NFTs in Augmented Reality, entitled “Digital See.” The festival, now in its sixth year, raised funds and awareness to provide safe water for communities affected by the water crisis — both in Flint and abroad.

SuperWorld users can view and purchase the ten unique AR pieces as non-fungible tokens (NFTs). The artworks are available for viewing through the SuperWorld mobile app, and for sale on the newly released SuperWorld NFT Salon, with portions of each sale donated to Flint Water Festival in support of their mission to replace pipes inside local homes needing clean water.
“At SuperWorld, our vision is to help build a better world, and a move toward greater environmental stewardship is a critical part of our business model,” says Hrish Lotlikar, SuperWorld’s Co-Founder and CEO. “I am excited to announce our partnership with the Flint Water Festival, and hope that the “Digital See” exhibit will help promote art and AR content that not only entertains, but educates, and serves as a catalyst to combat issues like the water crisis, hunger, poverty, inequality and climate change here in Flint and around the world.”
By allowing users to communicate and share information, education, and creativity through AR, SuperWorld is helping to promote a truly immersive cross-cultural experience, anchored in both emotional and geographical context.
SuperWorld has also cultivated various partnerships with future-forward organizations worldwide, and joined thought leaders within the deep technology sector to reinforce a heightened and united commitment to mitigating the climate crisis, along with other persistent problems around the world.
One Tree Planted
In addition to the Flint Water Festival, SuperWorld partners include UNICEF and One Tree Planted (through which SuperWorld will plant one tree for every plot of virtual land sold on the platform),
As the world is moving into technological advancement and the burgeoning metaverse at what can seem like a breakneck pace, SuperWorld remains dedicated to taking a step back to consider the longview of what globalization entails, and how we can all do our part to mitigate climate impact (come on Ethereum 2.0), and build a better, more creative world for everyone.
