In Jim Henson’s words: “If you cannot beat them, join them.” It’s high time we all advocate for a massive adoption of Web3 across the globe and yes, it’s already happening.

Dubai is currently considered the leading country for Web3 development in terms of projects and company as well as events. India is also part of the driving forces for Web3, Blockchain and decentralization.

In this article, we’re going to be looking at how anyone, women inclusive, can get into the web3 space.

Web3.0 is the third iteration of the internet which offers reading, writing, and ownership. The previous iteration (Web1 and Web2) only supports reading and writing.

Creators cannot own their properties and created contents which make it a bit bossy and fully centralized.

Now, with the provision of blockchain, Web3 is given creators full access to their content.

Also known as semantic web, web3 depends solely on data that machines can understand. It is considered the future of the internet since it appears smarter, more connected, and more efficient.

With that in mind, it becomes expedient that you get yourself familiar with the system and how it operates.

Depending on who you are and what you represent, you can join the Web3 space as a founder, CEO, investor, or bring in professional skills to the ecosystem.

Since the technology is still at its early stage, there is need for more heads to come together, restrategize and build the system all along.

Despite the challenges that come with Web3, there is no doubt that that it holds immense potential for transforming the way we live, work, and play. We currently have blockchain/nft games which rewards gamers for doing what they love.

There are hundreds of projects out there on discord and other platforms all gearing towards establishing the space and inviting others.

You can join the space as a skilled professional with varying background in technology and computing. Currently, there are lots of tech and computing roles that you can opt in for and you’ll function as a contributor to the ecosystem.

· Blockchain architect

· Decentralized Application (dApp) developer

· Solidity developer

· Smart-contract developer

· Metaverse developer

· NFT developer

· Front-end developer

· Back-end developer

· Blockchain Data Engineer

· And lots more that are tech roles and opportunities in the Web3 sector.

Similarly, you can join Web3 as non-tech personnel with skills and expertise doing any of the following:

· UX/UI designer

· Community manager

· Content writer

· Graphic designer

· Product manager

· Research analyst

· And lots others.

Succinctly, you should have a strong programming skill and some knowledge of cryptography before you can write codes and build decentralized blockchain applications (as a techie).

As a non-techie, you should consider knowing details about writing and communication, research and analytical, graphic design, UX/UI design, and product management skills.

Getting involved in Web3 doesn’t demands a penny especially if you already have something to offer. All you need to do is stay up-to-date on the latest Web3.0 industry news and developments.

You can do this by reading publications and articles, attending conferences and webinars, and following web3.0 thought leaders and advocates on social media.

In case you don’t have any skill yet or you wanted to upskill, you should consider taking a course on Web3 development in any interested area.

On a final note, you’re never too late and you’re just in time to join the emerging industry. Get yourself involve and get your hands dirty.
