VR AR Assicuation Global summit 2020
Between 1st and 3rd of June 2020, we had the annual summit of the VR AR Association. Obviously it was virtual as well, as the rest of Covid affected events. Here is my summary of the new things I found (definitely not the only good things, but the things I cared about).
The 3 days of lectures has been recorded, and I will update this article after I watch all the recordings.
“Worldwide Point Cloud to be Used by Users”
Immersal: collaboratively turning the world into a point cloud, which is ready for location-based AR content.
This is something AR has been waiting for in a long time. I hope it works as they advertise. This is something Google doesn`t yet have.
