Summary

This is what Virtual Reality is really like:

Source:theverge.com
To preface, virtual reality or VR is a reality that exists on an electronic. It is just an illusion, but it makes you feel as if you’re doing what’s in the game/app. I am talking about the Oculus (or meta) quest 2. It doesn’t need any wires or a computer; you just strap it on and voilà, you are ready to play.

Realism:

It was realistic lemme tell ya’. Yes, creed does look like a game and not real life, but that is because it’s a game and not real life. There was a giant dude with huge muscles on the other side of the arena, and we were playing a real boxing match! (though I didn’t feel it). Guess what is there in real life… A wall.

Motion sickness

I never experienced motion sickness while playing until I got to the game star wars: tales from the galaxies' edge. I played for about an hour with no breaks and began to feel nauseous… like I was going to throw up. That is my fault though because meta themselves say to take frequent breaks “about every 30 minutes of play” to rest for five minutes. I took a 30-minute walking break outside after that and things seemed to have gotten better.

4 stars

Taking into consideration the motions sickness, it goes from 5 to 4 stars. I know for many people, they get motion sick not even trying. For me it took more, but it still happened.
The oculus quest two is overall a great console, it’s cool, realistic, and new. I think it’s amazing, and will go far in the tech industry.
